Bachelor's Degree White Plains Hospital Job Description Title: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst Job Code: 700145 Department/Location: MIS/WPH Main Campus FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Associate Director of Business Intelligence Position Summary This position writes, tests, and maintains data integrity, converting client's requests into reports, documentation and other forms of usable information. Provides exceptional customer support. Mentors junior analyst and demonstrates overall leadership. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following: 1. Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. 2. Work closely with users to evaluate their data/reporting requests, recommend actions and implement solutions 3. Provide technical support in the design, development and delivery of Business Intelligence solutions 4. Develop efficient processes and procedures for Business Intelligence team 5. Performs other duties as assigned 6. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required Advanced understanding of relational databases Minimum 4 years relevant experience in the following areas: • Creating & editing queries, stored procedures, and SSIS packages • Standard BI reporting tools such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, SSRS Ability to work with multiple data sources Experience defining and maintaining data marts Strong MS Excel skills Strong troubleshooting and data mining skills Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills Highly motivated and able to work collaboratively Experience in healthcare or financial reporting preferred Core Competencies • Interest in and enthusiasm for computerization and its potential for improving department and interdepartmental efficiency. • Strong communication skills • Well organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Provides excellence in customer service under all circumstances Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment • May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital's SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital's Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc. • Frequent sitting for extended periods of time • Ability to move about the office. • Constantly operates computers and other office equipment as required. • Ability to travel to and from different hospital offsite locations with minimal notice • Must be able to adapt to a high stress environment with frequent interruptions • Frequent exposure to computer noise.
