Our metro Boston client is in need of a Sr Application Engineering Manager to work either in their Boston facility or their Freemont, CA facility. This position will lead our Global Automation Applications team, focused on product delivery, with the highest level of customer focus, in the semiconductor dep and etch market.

This leader will have deep industry and customer expertise and will bring and implement innovative practices and processes.

This leader will conduct high level interface with the customer to better understand application challenges and process requirements. Develop statements of work including resource schedules and project budgets. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring correct scoping and feasibility of the projects.

The required skills are persistence in meeting goals coupled with flexibility to find a path around obstacles and the ability to keep the team focused on meeting the customer's expectations.

A high level of organization is required to schedule and track the many details of multiple customer interactions and projects simultaneously. The individual needs to be a process champion to ensure projects are not only completed but also that the resulting products are robust. Must possess the ability to understand customer requirements and to communicate with product engineering team members to translate those requirements into successful product designs.

Ability to clearly communicate statement of work and report status to senior management.

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Strong knowledge of key SEMI process & technology trends to help establish higher-level solutions
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 7 years technical management experience.
* Demonstrated ability to successfully lead multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish aggressive goals.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to develop people.
* Must be able to work establish working consensus with colleagues.
* Ability to plan, budget, and perform risk management analysis.
