Job Description

Atlas Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Active Directory (AD) Engineer. The Senior AD Engineer will provide support, implementation, and upgrade design services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise.

Position Description

* Design a scalable, configurable, and resilient (HA) upgrade to the current AD infrastructure, including development, testing, and deployment of new or enhanced capabilities AD FS and Group Policy in a multi-domain environment.
* Research, develop, and document backup and recovery plans.
* Provide ongoing support for domain controllers, active directory, file shares and group policy.
* Perform Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities related to the management of enterprise scale Active Directory to include maintenance actions, engineering changes, upgrades, and remediation of potential security vulnerabilities.
* Follow current guidelines and enforce comprehensive naming conventions, data tagging policies, and data organization for a multi-domain environment.
* Develop and maintain Build Guides, Installation Guides, Administrator Guides, Configuration Guides, User Guides, and Maintenance procedure for ADFS solution.
* Develop documents and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of the Windows Systems and Active Directory.
* Develop maintenance schedules for Domain Controllers.
* Serve as senior technical resource in the Windows Server and Infrastructure engineering teams.
* Recommend alternate choices, trade-offs, and impact analysis for AD FS infrastructure.
* Share technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
* Provide a high level of customer service through comprehensive communication.
* Serve as the depot line of escalation support for domain technology issues that cannot be resolved by 1, 2, and 3 server supports

Position Requirements

* Must be a US Citizen
* Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and GPOs.
* Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP, Kerberos.
* Expert knowledge of ADFS, ADCS & DoD PKI in Windows Server 2016.
* US DoD STIG experience or working knowledge.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager.
* Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and/or Microsoft technologies.
* Must show a progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
* Team Player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to work in a team environment with a "can do" attitude capable of overcoming difficult challenges.
* Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment and with teams spread across multiple locations across multiple time zones.
* Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills.
* Must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, 3rd parties, and customers as needed.
* Knowledge and familiarity with a scripting language, i.e. VBScript or PowerShell.

Education/Experience:

* 10 years of hands on experience or 7+ years with a degree in Information Technology, Engineer, etc.
