What is the purpose of this position?

We are searching for an experienced, brilliant, driven IT Production Engineer to work with Waystar's software solution. The Engineer will be responsible for gathering the technical requirements for Waystar's software support and monitoring the reporting and analysis configuration for each client set-up. The role will also continue to support project teams with analysis and system updates. In this position the Engineer must approach problem-solving challenges independently, enjoy working in a team environment, have a strong attention to detail, and a passion for healthcare technology.

* Automate and solve complex business issues via T-SQL and MS Business Intelligence
* Monitor all database environments
* Assist with database migrations
* Oversee all ETL troubleshooting
* Create and optimize SSIS packages
* Participate in the formulation of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management
* Act as a technical expert for the Waystar Software Solution
* Understand and troubleshoot issues in the database environment using T-SQL

Do you fit our team?

* 3+ years with enterprise-level database (100GB+) development and analysis reporting
* Experience with understanding and analyzing hospitals claim, payment, adjustment, detailed charges, charge description master, and other data
* Excellent understanding of SQL for data querying, analysis, and script development
* Experience using SSIS for ETL processing
* C# coding experience a plus
* Very strong understanding of relational database structures, with a proven ability to learn the structure of a relational database
* Ability to design and implement internal process improvements, including the improvement of manual processes as well as identifying, developing, and implementation of tools that help automate processes
* Ability to coordinate the receipt and import of historical and on-going data into a database
* Ability to execute and prioritize a large number of tasks, and resolve issues and resource conflicts without aid from direct manager or project sponsor
* Must be a quick learner who excels in a rapidly changing environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Detail-oriented and self-motivated
