Software Developer

Position Summary

Acts as a SQL developer focused on various digital platforms and software solutions by designing, developing, and testing software. Works within an extreme or agile programming structure and as a programming pair.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Write well-designed, testable and efficient code

Integrate software components into a functional system

Document and maintain software functionality

Comply with project plans and industry standards

Operate within a pair programming model

Test the product in controlled, real situations before going live

Maintain and troubleshoot systems that are in production

Experience

At least 5 years of software development experience

5+ years of experience with following skillset:

Develop complex T-SQL Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, Tables, Indexes, etc. with SQL Server 2008 or Above

Developing/testing/deploying/releasing Business Intelligence Solutions with Microsoft BI technology (SSRS/SSIS/SSAS).

Business Intelligence Practices and Processes as well as familiarity with Data Mart and Data Warehouse Design and Implementation

Fluency in T-SQL, VB, C#, scripting languages for automation (Power Shell, Python)

Working with the tools SSMS, SQL Profiler, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server and any scheduling tool(s). Cisco Tidal is a plus.

Object Oriented Analysis and Design.

Knowledge of SCRUM and agile development with experience working on an agile development team.

Experience refactoring code and evolving architectures

Experience crafting automated unit, integration, functional, and regression tests

Experience developing cross-platform applications

Experience with SQL Server Database administration activities - Backup/Restore, Disaster recovery

Full lifecycle experience from conceptualization to development and deployment of Application/Solution

The ability to judge and recommend appropriate platform choices given context about a particular application

Education

Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
