We are looking for a SQL DB Developer, Global Platform Organization! The position will work in a multidisciplinary software development environment where our SQL DB Developer will have demonstrably strong analytical and technical skills, proven experience with designing large scale frameworks and systems, and experience working with geographically separated teams including both staff and offshore developers.

This resource will:

* Design and implement imaginative SQL based solutions.
* Provide support to Operations and Development Quality Assurance personnel as required.
* Investigate production issues and provide root causes for issues affecting production systems

Responsibilities:

* Design and implement innovative SQL/NON SQL database solutions within the cloud.
* Provide support to Operations and Development Quality Assurance personnel as required.
* Investigate production issues and provide root causes for issues affecting production systems
* Participate in reviews and provide feedback on Requirements, Design Documents and Specifications.
* Participate within the DB Team to increase the use of automation and related tools so as to increase reliability, repeatability, quality, and time to market
* Assist Development Managers and Leads in reviewing Business Requirements and Software System Designs for gaps and testability.
* Assist Development Managers and leads in developing effective and efficient Test Strategies to support Development Programs, Projects, and Prototyping activities
* Assist Development Managers and leads in developing and defining test data requirements to execute defined test strategies.
* Deliver quality projects on time, within scope and within budget.

Position requires some travel, domestic and international, on a regular basis, comprising no more than 5% of total days worked.

Qualifications:

* Required: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field, or those with relevant experience.
* 3 + Years of professional experience in SQL Database Administration & Architecture
* 1 + Years architecting and administering SQL databases
* Experience in an AGILE development environment, prefer those who also have Scrum and/or Kanban, based on the delivery methodology used
* Experience managing large scale database systems, i.e. enterprise, systems
* Exposure to interpretation of Java Stack Traces
* Prefer experience with SQL Always On
* Understanding of the capabilities of vendor infrastructure products
* Working knowledge on Capacity planning and performance measurement
* NON-SQL experience desirable
* Stored procedures
* JSON and XML data processing
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills
* Strong verbal and written communication, particularly in crafting messages and status reports to Senior Management and Business Partners
