The Specialist, Online Merchant Operations is a part of a centralized team responsible for performing a group of core merchandising functions, providing support to the merchandising, marketing, mobile, product Management, and Shop Your Way organizations. They are engaged in activities which requires working both independently and with others on troubleshooting/analysis, process improvement documentation, and education/teaching. The team also works on special projects outside of normal responsibilities.

This position provides the foundation for future job opportunities in merchandising, marketing and other areas within the company.

Job Requirements Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Marketing/Member Focus:

* Creates affiliate, email and personalization offers
* Creates online deals to support BU marketing efforts and online only promotional events
* Creates online promotional coupon code offers to support BU marketing efforts
* Manages the Hot Weekly Deals page content
* Reviews & optimizes internal keyword search terms
* Identifies opportunities for taxonomy updates

Operational Focus

* Executes MAP pricing requests (information provided by Merchant Organization)
* Sets Price Alert Exceptions (information provided by Merchant Organization)
* Set Inactive Dates (information provided by Merchant Organization)
* Provide assistance in investigating why items are not online
* Attends/leads various meetings
* Provides training to merchants and other support teams
* Partners with merchant teams to improve processes
* Works/trains with the Offshore Deals Testing Team
* Special Projects
* Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

* Some College
* 0 to 2 years related professional experience
* Excellent computer skills with the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word Power Point)
* Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to understand and apply logic to complex systems and applications.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Strong organizational skills and detail driven
* Ability to take lead on projects/tasks
* Ability to work independently and with others
* Interest in pursuing a career in the ecommerce space is a plus
