Schedule: Will participate in an on-call support rotation - approx. 1 week per month

* Basic Purpose:

The Sr. Technical Lead position serves the following purposes:

Assumes a senior technical lead role in Business Process Management (BPM) and system integration projects

Designs, develops and implements BPM solutions and system integration components

Serves as subject matter expert on BPM and related technologies

Provides technical expertise throughout application development phases from inception to requirements, elaboration, construction, deployment and maintenance

Supports production applications and systems; ensuring each system operates per service level agreements, and complies with government regulations and industry standards

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior leaders, business partners, architects, project managers, and IT Infrastructure colleagues throughout development

Lead a team of developers within a Pega COE (Center of Excellence) and actively manage project risks and issues.

Ensure re-usability of modules, set and enforce standards and best practices across all BPM applications

Maintain knowledge of the latest versions, features etc. of Pega BPM and CPM technology

Define BPM roadmaps in collaboration with Enterprise and Solutions Architects

Lead BPM development projects to build foundation and to integrate operational systems

Develop viable solutions to complex business requirements on mastering enterprise data

Take lead on assessing complex issues and driving them to resolution

Serve as primary contact for vendor engagements during development phases

Provide project estimations

Support project manager during planning and development phases

Provide training and guidance on BPM concepts and related technologies

Perform design and code reviews

Ensure development compliance with established development methodologies, company policies and security standards

Evaluate emerging technologies, application architecture, development trends / methods and industry best practices

Active contributor and participant throughout application development phases using RUP and/or Agile

Lead and manage Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) requirements gathering sessions, meetings and presentations.

Design BPM and system integration components using class, data, object, sequence and user interface models

Develop code based on design specification

Create and execute unit test cases and support QC, load and integration testing

Create implementation plan to deploy software in development, staging and/or production environments

Provide production support

Partner with our vendors including managing the escalation process with Pega Cloud Solutions, PegaProduct Engineering and other 3rd party vendors)

Supervision Exercised:

May have some direct reports (PEGA Software Engineers)

Will be responsible for recruitment and oversight of contract developers

Qualifications:

Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree - BA or BS - or equivalent

Work Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience with Pega and Java development using Websphere, WebLogic (or equivalent) and Oracle in n-tier environment.Below lists the required knowledge and experiences.

Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of PEGA architecture, design and implementation features

Experience with PegaRules Process Commander (PRPC) methodology and the main features, tools, frameworks and limitations. Experience in writing connectors, services, user interfaces and decision rules.

Experience with Pega PRPC including BIX Reporting, Business Rules Engine, DCO (Direct Capture of Objectives) , CTI integration with Avaya (Pega CALL), CPM,and SSO Integration

Experience in a variety of technologies, including but not limited to, Java J2EE (Servlets, JSPs, Struts, JSTL, JDBC, EJBs, JMS, XML, Web Services - SOAP & REST), .NET, Oracle, PostGRE, DB2 and MS/SQL

Pega Certified Lead System Architect (LSA) or certified as System Architect (CSA) and Senior System Architect (CSSA)and commit to complete LSA within 6 months of joining Quest

Other: Other qualifications should include the following:

Thorough understanding on master data management concepts and solutions, and extensive implementation experience

Thorough understanding of data modeling and database programming

Experience with Pega BPM, or other equivalent BPM solutions

Experience in solution architectures for BPM solutions using heterogeneous applications, technologies and platforms

Experience in designing, implementing and deploying service oriented architecture solutions

Experience in optimizing large, high volume databases

Excellent communication skills - both oral and written

Excellent facilitation skills

Excellent problem solving skills and proven ability to systematically debug problems and isolate root cause

Ability to work in a matrix environment - collaborating across different IT functions

Load testing using LoadRunner or equivalent (desirable)

Domain knowledge of the Healthcare environment including HIPAA

PMP and/or Agile ScrumMaster certification

Black Belt certification (desirable)
