Job Description:

Software Engineer responsible for quality assurance of software and software development environment throughout the product lifecycle, including baseline management, change control, requirements verification, status accounting and audit. This position will require the candidate to evaluate existing quality processes and develop implementation of quality assurance processes to meet customer requirements. Specific responsibilities include:

* Take the lead and ownership of QA processes and procedures and ensure conformance to established company, contractual, and regulatory standards
* Assure that all aspects of the SW Quality Assurance, Quality Control and proficiency testing practices are sound and within established Quality Assurance guidelines
* Conduct audits and proficiency testing; recommend implementation of preventive measures and corrective action to ensure non-recurrence of deficiencies
* Perform development and execution of Software Quality methods and processes
* Participate in software design/code peer reviews for technical and process evaluation
* Review/ audit tests, test methods, and test procedures to ensure continuous improvement to Software Quality Assurance standards
* Implement and define testing methodology and standards to improve results
* Maintain oversight of test results and audit debugging and modification of software
* Analyze test results for requirements verification
* Investigate defects and work with teammates to develop disposition, evaluate root cause, and establish corrective actions.
* Consult with senior testers and development engineers to help resolve issues
* Perform ongoing work towards improving test processed
* Communicate effectively, both written and oral

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline with 4 years of experience or a Master's degree and 2 years of experience.
* Current and active Secret clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

* 3 years' experience in progressive Quality methodologies, tools and systems such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, continuous improvement and ISO 9001/AS 9100 quality systems
* Certified quality assurance professional.
* Excellent written, oral, presentation and team skills.
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work individually to achieve shared team objectives and drive process change
* Expert time management ability and sense of urgency in meeting critical deadlines
* Strong interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset
* Direct experience working with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Git)
* 4 years' experience with two or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, object-oriented design concepts.
* 4 years experience with quality assurance principles and software development lifecycles.
* 4 years experience with software configuration
