Overview

Axioma is seeking an Executive Director to join our Strategy team in our New York office as Solutions Architect. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the Strategy team, across Partnership, Strategic Sales and Incubation streams. The candidate will be a strategic solutions advisor in complex sales processes, and will provide drive and guidance on incubation streams. He will act as a strong binding in between clients, partners and the execution teams. He will further collaborate with Client-facing, Product Management, Development and Service Operations teams within Axioma to bring newly developed solutions into Axioma's core offerings and revenue generating products. Interpersonal skills, and team-making abilities will be key to the success of the candidate in this role.

Responsibilities

* Navigate complex clients, their structure and their operational workflows, so as to capture and to understand their challenge, and propose best ROI solutions which Axioma can provide to their specific issues
* Quickly research, plan, and construct prototypes of new concepts and proposed solutions
* Package existing technologies, methodologies and offering components for proposing innovative solutions to clients, or to address new market segments
* Operate as a project manager and an account manager as much as a technology and business leader, in an agile framework
* Effectively present solutions externally, gather feedback, and present findings internally in order to quickly kill or proceed on these solutions
* Help focusing our product strategy on end users, and their experience with our products
* Research build vs buy and partnership opportunities for any new endeavors

Qualifications

* Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, engineering, computer science, or quantitative finance
* Consulting experience, either in financial services consulting sector, or across multiple parties (from C level to hands-on execution) within the same company
* Experience with cloud technologies; familiarity with IaaS and PaaS frameworks, costs and deployment models
* Direct experience in the financial services industry with responsibilities overlapping with those described above
* Knowledge and experience of portfolio management workflows and full trade lifecycle is a plus
* Strong programming skills; familiarity with Python, R, and an object-oriented compiled language, with SQL, NoSQL
* Ability to independently learn new technical skills and technologies as required by projects
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and with a geographically-dispersed team
