Perficient is currently looking for a Solutions Architect in our Salesforce Practice.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Solutions Architect's focus will be working with customers taking lead roles in discussions to understand complex requirements and translate them into a solution that leverages cloud-based technologies. The Solutions Architect is responsible for the overall application design that translates business needs to technical requirements. A successful candidate is able to work independently and communicate effectively with team members. The Solutions Architect must be able to articulate an enterprise solution architecture (functionally) that would not only include Salesforce, but also other systems and mechanisms for integrating those applications to render an overall solution for the Client. Solution Architects are often called upon to engage with prospects in scoping and discovery sessions, offering best practice recommendations, on-the-fly solution suggestions and relevant lines of questioning that may not have been prepared in advance of the conversation. Solutions Architects must have strong business acumen to be successful. Previous experience in consulting, technology architecture and/or engineering and sales are needed to effectively meet the requirements of this position.

Responsibilities

* Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
* Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
* Providing best practices and presenting additional opportunities to further leverage Salesforce and the Force.com platform
* Leading, mentoring and teaching consultants best practices for implementing Salesforce as well as executing Perficient's implementation methodology
* Creating business requirements documentation with process flow diagrams and use case definitions
* Executing solution design activities such as data mapping, object modeling, page layout design and rule logic definitions
* Executing testing and validation to ensure that the Salesforce configuration meets the business requirements and solution design

Qualifications

* 5+ years professional services or technical consulting experience
* 3+ years Salesforce configuration and consulting experience
* Advanced Salesforce Certs
* Client facing and project management experience
* Outstanding writing, presentation, communication and organization skills
* Two or more Salesforce certifications including one Cloud Cert
* Trailhead Adventurer or higher
* College graduate
* Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
* Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
* Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
* Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
* Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
* Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
* Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
* Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
* Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
* Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Be independent and self-driven.
* Must be open to travel.

Preferred skills and education:

* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Certification in (Insert technologies)
* Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight
* Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices
* Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes
* Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams
