Job Description:

The Solution Architect - Supply Chain is responsible for the overall design and implementation of supply chain software solutions and mapping business requirements to systems/technical requirements. This includes various modules (Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Procurement Contracts, Vendor Management, eProcurement etc) in PeopleSoft, planning modules in JDA (Sales & Operations, Demand Planning, Collaborate, Enterprise Supply Planning, and Sequencing ) that encomapsses supply chain functionality.

Further, knowledge of different system integrations to PeopleSoft and JDA such as Banking Systems, Carta, Ariba, TM1, ERAE (Data Warehouse) and Maximo applications is a plus . In addition, this individual has the technical skills and experience needed to develop cost-effective, timely solutions that meet functional and performance requirements while focusing on component reuse. Participate and contribute to build vs buy decisions. Experience working with and implementing SAAS solutions.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to adapt to technology shifts over time. These skills include the ability to define, influence, and communicate technical direction, to make decisions, to be driven and work autonomously in order to ensure the successful implementation of solutions. Leading, mentoring, assigning tasks and assisting individual contributors is also a requirement for this position. This individual must work collaboratively with other team members across technical disciplines.

Essential Duties

50%

* Understand and transform business requirements into scalable/manageable solution architecture and design specifications.


* Develop strong business relationships with business areas responsible


* Partner with other functions across IT (Scrum Master, BA, EA, Security, Operations) to ensure collaboration, consistency, quality, and timeliness of solutions



30%

* Participate in the delivery of custom solutions that follow GAFs standard Agile process.


* Ensure self and development team adheres to GAF design and development patterns and standards.


* Maintain and enhance integration solutions, including off-hours support of business-critical business solutions.


* Ensure proper response and resolution to issues and errors.


* Provide mentoring on advanced development concepts and technical capabilities to developers.

* Develop and maintain a model of GAF's Enterprise Development solutions and patterns


* Define standards to guide solution decisions in relation to integration for the enterprise.


* Create prototypes and authoring detailed interaction specifications.


* Work closely with other Solution Architects to ensure consistency and quality of solutions and knowledge sharing. Continuous improvement and exploration of industry standards and technology advances.



Technical knowledge/skills

* Expert knowledge in PeopleSoft Modules such as Accounts Payables, Purchasing, eProcurement, Procurement Contracts, Inventory, General Ledger, Vendor Management.


* Working Knowledge of JDA Modules (Demand Planning, Enterprise Supply Planning, Sequencing, Collaborate and Sales & Operations) functionality.


* Expert knowledge of Procure to Pay Processes and Supply Chain Processes - Demand and Supply Planning, Production Planning etc.


* Knowledge of Llamasoft application.


* Knowledge of Llamasoft, Carta, Ariba, Maximo and JDA Integrations.


* Expert knowledge in Event Driven Architecture


* Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.


* Expert knowledge of Databases - SQL Server., Oracle


* Knowledge and experience with Test-driven development and User acceptance driven development


* Experience with DevOps practices.


* Advanced knowledge of industry best practices in the various aspects of IT, technology trends, enterprise operations knowledge and the ability to develop solutions to implement key business strategies.


* Advanced knowledge of SDLC, code management concepts and platforms.


* Intermediate understanding of network and data center architecture, as well as application development methodologies.

Education/Experience

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience.


* 7+ years implementation experience with demonstrated development expertise in several business and technical verticals.


* 10+ years of industry experience providing technical solutions development for enterprise software.


* Strong Supply Chain background with at least 5+ years hands on experience in Supply Chain
