We are looking for a test engineer in our Product Assurance and Certification team. The work includes writing and executing test cases, and documenting and analyzing problems. You will work in a small group to handle all test planning, execution and reporting and must also be able to perform test automation efforts.

Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain test specifications/test cases/ sets of regression tests, for new hardware component/software release of applications in an accurate and timely manner.


* Automate new and existing test scripts using Perl, Java, and VB.


* Troubleshoot issues and provide support for test automation framework/infrastructure.


* Propose and create procedures that help to find errors existing in the product and execute test cases/regression tests to ensure minimal discrepancy between specified and implemented functions.


* Review requirements/design documents to ensure testability and become acquainted with products.


* Design test plans of low to medium complexity. Write and execute test cases of medium complexity and analyze and log test results.


* Coordinate testing of hardware/software components for small/medium projects.


* Participate in and contribute to testing process improvement efforts.


* Participate in the implementation of test automation tools.



Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.


* For Level 40, 3+ years experience in back-end testing of software.


* For Level 40, experience in Unix environment (HPUX, Solaris, AIX, RHEL).


* Experience with Oracle or other databases-DBA knowledge a plus.


* Experience with IBM MQ a plus.


* Experience with Quality Center or other test management software a plus.


* Experience with automated testing, skills with UNIX shell scripting, and Perl/Java a plus.


* Strong communication skills.


* Team player, willing to work in a multicultural environment


* Excellent analytical skills


* Must be eligible to work in the US without sponorship
