Responsibilities

IOMAXIS has an immediate opportunity for a Software Systems Engineer to support an exciting new project near Quantico, Virginia. This is a great opportunity for a strong engineer with leadership skills!

You will work with a team of developers and researchers in an agile development environment. Candidate should be comfortable with learning new technologies and be familiar with the software release process.

You will provide top-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis. The selected candidate shall design architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.

You will identify, assess, and present options for meeting the functional and technical requirements, including hardware and software updates or upgrades. This position shall also formulate and define specifications for operating system applications or shall modify and maintain existing applications. You will create detailed design specifications for use by staff members and interact with project management to plan project schedules and technical direction. This position shall be responsible for developing system design diagrams, as well as program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, and/or Network Administration from an accredited university/college.

Recent work experience as a senior-level or technical lead in a related position on a major program, project, or activity. A minimum of five (5) years recent experience in the direct performance of a major program, project, or activity relating to computer software development at the user and kernel level, computer programming, and /or computer digital forensics.

Clearance: Current Active Top Secret Clearanceor higher

Value added experience:

* Driver development on Linux or OSX
* Experience writing or reverse engineering at assembly-language level
* Theoretical or working knowledge of security exploit techniques
* TDD experience
* Experience with the Atlassian tool suite
* Experience transforming research output, such as incomplete proof of concept code, into highly reliable software
