Responsible for the support of applications/systems/database and third party software programs. Deploys the release of re-designed modules, upgrades and new technologies as well as install, configure, and maintain supported software. Analyze design and functional specifications. Ensure that deployments will successfully migrate in to production without faults. Resolve issues regarding operations, including installations, setups, error messages, on-line transactions, system status and downtime procedures, etc. Ensure end user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolving problems.

Responsibilities

* Technical Support: Under minimal supervision, respond to and research and resolve moderately complex issues with internal applications/systems and/or databases, and networking.
* Implement short-term solutions for quick resolution of issues and begin to develop long term solutions to problems that occur.
* Analysis/Design: Under minimal supervision, analyze software deployments of moderate complexity to ensure that transition to production is seamless and without faults. Conduct maintenance programming to resolve any issues that are found.
* Additionally, analyze frequently occurring issues related to operational and performance issues for supported applications/systems and/or database.
* Coding: Uses Powershell scripting to analyze and simplify tasks.
* Testing: Independently setup, and conduct integration testing to ensure that software meets the specifications and that deployment will have no issues with the other components of the application/system and/or database. Develop and execute unit and system test plans for Powershell scripts.
* Communication: Provides input to peers, management and customers for recommendations and alternate solutions and/or improvements. Conveys problems, solutions, updates and project status to their peers, customers and management.
* Documentation: Document support issues and solutions.
* Planning/Process Management: Prepares time estimates for all phases of technical support projects.
* Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Required Skills

* Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
* Strong background in Infrastructure support.
* Experience using and creating Powershell Scripting (or other scripting languages).
* Able to demonstrate ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job.
* Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
* Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity.
* Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, Linux, or other technical tools in completing assignments.
* May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments. Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.
* Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.
* Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
