SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a qualified, professional, and experienced Software Quality Control Specialist in Arlington, VA to conduct software quality assessment, testing and management activities for the Department of State. The Software Quality Control Specialist will work closely with the customers, agency partners, Management,and Scrum Teams to devise application software, services, interfaces, and database solutions. The work is in the Washington DC Metro area.

The selected individual will collaborate closely with the development and operations teams and customer stakeholders to bring together the full range of technical and business competencies needed to enable successful achievement of customer service deliverables and SLAs, technology transformation, business requirements and other work deliverables which are consistent with organizational goals and objectives. The candidate will work in a collaborative manner with the operations and architecture teams to propose, brainstorm, represent, and implement simple to complex architectural solutions.

Software quality assurance (SQA)specialists will oversee the software quality control processes in this organization. They are responsible for conducting quality testing sessions to identify possible technical problems, eliminating software quality issues before shipping, and creating specialized reports regarding software bugs. They identify possible performance- and memory-related issues inside the software code,observe code discrepancies, and recommend changes to the software package.Generally, these professionals report their progress to the software lead in their department.

SQA specialists also actively participate in training efforts by implementing changes and coaching junior staff members, as well as conduct extensive research in new software technologies and participate in development meetings to suggest possible changes to the testing and quality processes. They act as a tester by inspecting procedures and software design plans, participate in design specification and requirement reviews, validate client reported issues, and follow-up for prompt resolution. In all tasks, SQA specialists must follow strict safety and privacy regulations.

The candidate's work responsibilities include the following:

* Act as an active member of Agile Scrum teams
* Ensure successful on-time delivery with minimal to zero defect rates
* Conduct project/iteration planning and establish cadence in development
* Work in support of a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools/people/skills ecosystem in an Agile and DevOps setting
* Participate in designing custom/COTS software solutions using Microsoft, MS SQL Server and related technologies
* Propose, brainstorm, document,illustrate, and implement simple to complex process improvements and inspections
* Participate in Change Management processes and provide reviews and feedback for system changes
* Help mature Test and Build Automation and Test Driven Development processes within the team
* Write, modify, and execute test scripts.
* Communicate test results to implementation and development teams.
* Maintain and update test databases,systems, environment and documentation MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must possess an active secret clearance OR the ability to obtain an interim clearance (which requires US citizenship)

* Experience with Microsoft technologies(.NET,C#, T-SQL), Visual Studio Test Manager, SharePoint, Microsoft Office
* Bachelor's Degree or higher software development, system programming, computer science, or a related field, plus 12 years related industry experience OR;
* Associate's degree (same type as bachelors listed prior) plus 14 years related industry experience.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in customization of Microsoft TFS is highly desirable.
* Experience with SOA (especially Oracle OA)
* Experience working in an Agile Development Environment
* Experience with customization of Microsoft TFS, including Release Manager, Continuous Integration
* SQA specialists must possess strong analytical skills and pay strong attention to detail.
* Scrum Master Certification
