Description:

This individual contributor is primarily responsible for assisting in the development of the software quality assurance test strategy and works closely with senior team members to assist in the development of software quality assurance project plans.

Essential Responsibilities:

Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines; following procedures and policies, and applying data and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating with others, often cross-functionally, to solve business problems; supporting the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities when possible; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate.Pursues self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers; listening, responding to, and seeking performance feedback; acknowledging strengths and weaknesses; assessing and responding to the needs of others; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.Identifies and documents test defects.Reviews functional specifications to ensure business and architectural requirements are testable.Develops test scenarios and executes test cases across all testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation).Identifies, defines, and mitigates issues, dependencies, and risks related to testing.Adheres to entry and exit criteria according to Kaiser testing standards with guidance from senior team members, as appropriate.Reviews and validates testable business processes, test data, and test environment requirements.Provides input into test plans and timelines.Helps develop testing scope and approach.Assists in the development of the quality assurance (QA) test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for moderately to highly complex IT initiatives across multiple QA domains, by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability.Executes quality assurance (QA) project plans, with guidance from senior team members as appropriate, for minimally to moderately complex projects by identifying project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, and critical paths.Generates scheduled reports (e.g., test execution, defects, ad hoc reports) and provides daily test execution metrics to IT teams and management, as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum three (3) years experience in SQA, software testing or related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

One (1) year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with leadership (e.g., Manager level and above)

Two (2) years experience working in a large matrixed organization.

One (1) year experience working with IT vendors.

Two (2) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycle(s) (SDLC).

Two (2) years experience writing IT technical documentation.

One (1) year experience working in virtual testing environments.

One (1) year experience working in healthcare testing environments.

One (1) year experience testing business system applications.

Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) or American Society for Quality (ASQ) or similar certification.Ability to create, modify, execute SQL queries.Experience in testing web applications and web services in addition to supporting back end systems.Proficiency in SOAP UI API testing.Ability to develop UAT walk through guides that can demonstrate testing results to business stakeholders.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate with regional partners, developers, contractors, and project management teams.Must be self-motivated, flexible, and work independently.QC ALM / Rational experience.Ability to support multiple projects/systems and software releases - integration, end to end, regression and UAT
