Job Description Job Profile Bose's next generation of connected products leverage an ever-expanding software stack to bring awesome new audio-based experiences to our customers. To help accelerate our development efforts, we are looking for a technically strong Software Program/Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will have a track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional team to manage complex software deliveries, preferably in mass market connected consumer electronics products. They have a strong intuitive understanding of products involving embedded sub-systems and mobile applications, and may also have exposure to cloud services. Job Description We are looking for exceptional candidates who can: Coordinate and synchronize multiple software development teams and other internal groups to design, build, test, and release software on time and with high quality. Do the right things to drive work and release planning, to smartly handle interdependencies between teams, and to identify and manage requirements and architectural convergence as well as software delivery risks. Engage appropriately to quickly make the right trade-offs, escalate issues if required, and build valued working relationships with technical subject matter experts, stakeholders, and senior management. Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skill, outstanding written and verbal communication talent, and an appropriate aptitude for user experience design, software development and test methodologies, and hardware/software integration. Prior experience required: Cross-functional program/project management involving embedded and/or mobile application software development environments. Cloud service experience is a plus. Agile software development practices, preferably in an embedded and/or a mobile application development environment. Experience in managing firmware suppliers and 3rd party development partners. Prior software development and test experience using web technologies, mobile platforms, C++, and/or Java is a plus. Experience in mass market consumer electronics development. Education and Experience: BS in software engineering, computer science, or other appropriate field; advanced degrees welcome but not required.
