Description

This position requires experience with programming, an

understanding of systems/programs concepts, and familiarity with scripting

languages. The position entails assisting senior engineers, analyzing anomalies

and updating code, performing static and dynamic analysis, writing automated

tests, performing unit testing and some unit integration, and assisting with

updating technical documentation. Validate functional behavior of new and

existing products to ensure they comply with the business requirements. This

includes Web Services and API stacks. Development of new scripts and test

methods is a significant function of the job. This opportunity will allow

the intern to gain familiarity with M2M products and technologies including

WiFi, and Wired Ethernet.

Candidate must be a self-starter and demonstrate

initiative. Previous software development experience outside of coursework is

not mandatory, but is helpful. Other software development tasks are assigned

depending on demonstrated skills and aptitude.

Flexible hours (15-40 hours per week) and willing to

accommodate students' class schedules.

Basic Qualifications

* 0-2+

years of experience

* BSEE

or BSCE candidate in junior or senior year or MSEE / MSCE student

* Programming

experience in Java, C/C++ or scripting language such as Python

* Experience

setting up networking equipment; familiarity with TCP/IP basics

* Ability

to work with minimal supervision

* Strong

work ethic and interest in subject matter

* Good

written and oral communication skills are required.
