Job Description

Description:Join the Lockheed Martin leadership team located within the Washington DC Metro Area. The ideal candidate will assume a Software Engineering first line management position in Rotary Mission System's C6ISR line of business with a focus on the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) program domain.

The candidate will be responsible for the technical, cost, and schedule execution of ASW software development activities for a number of simultaneous program milestones and objectives across C6ISR and our ASW market segment programs. The chosen candidate will be engaged in software development activities across the full software development life cycle, ensuring the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools are applied on assigned programs. In addition the chosen candidate will be given the opportunity to advance the craft of software engineering, implementing new and modern tools and techniques for development and test. The role requires knowledge of DevOps and the Agile lifecycle model. Candidate will be responsible for personnel management of a software team to include performance assessment, career development guidance, assignment onto programs, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing and recruiting. The individual will be responsible for making innovative contributions to the development of new business opportunities and product line road maps.

Basic Qualifications:

Demonstrable knowledge and experience with software development activities on real-time systems.

Proven leadership experience in engineering assignments and successful proven results in leading and executing on software intensive programs.

Strong and proven understanding of the Engineering development process.

Ability to multi-task, outstanding effective communication skills, and a strong track record of team building.

Working knowledge in the development of software using multiple programming languages and tools (e.g. C, C++, Java).

Desired Skills:

Understanding of Software Architectures

Experience with Agile and Waterfall life cycle models.

Prior experience and/or knowledge of the ASW domain.

New business Capture experience a plus.

CAM certified

Current Security Clearance of Interim Secret or higher
