POSITION

Cylance is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead a team of software engineers tasked with building our cutting-edge cyber security platform. You'll manage, build and grow our local engineering team while implementing proven practices and processes that allow for the high performance of our enterprise console.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

* Establish an elite software group by hiring, mentoring and growing talented engineers
* Deliver world class, high quality software on time
* Assist in hands-on development if/when needed
* Establish best practices and procedures for building software in an agile, continuous delivery environment
* Deliver on the product roadmap to support customer needs and operational excellence
* Collaborate with various diverse groups within Cylance to exceed all customer and stakeholder expectations

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Prior experience as a Manager responsible for software delivery in the cloud
* Background in software engineering and product development
* Experience with Python software development on Linux
* Recent hands-on experience
* Proven track record of estimating and delivering projects on-time
* Collaborative desire to work together to get things done with no room for ego, hierarchy or empire building
* Start-up experience highly desired, but not required
* Flexible and adaptable self-starter with strong skills
* Must have a passion for your work and an ability to apply that passion to both daily tasks and larger projects
* Collaborative and team-oriented attitude
* Effective problem-solving capabilities
* Takes initiative and approaches all tasks and projects proactively
* Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision
