Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate and apply understanding of modern development methodologies and tools to develop, deploy, and maintain software solutions
* Write, debug, and test code to create working solutions
* Understand and apply unique programming languages specific to software engineering
* Understand and influence underlying architecture of solution and how it meets business goals
* Apply modern practices, e.g., DevOps, Agile, Cloud, etc
* Build instrumentation and diagnostics to support integration of maintenance into development
* Develop self-documenting functions, API's and/or micro-services
* Leverage modern components, tools, and technologies to design decoupled, modular, flexible solutions
* Build and support ATDD and continuous integration; continuous delivery environment (CICD)

Required Qualifications:

* 5 years of application development experience in a large enterprise environment
* 5 years of experience working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivery of software products to market
* 2 years of prior experience leading development and / or support for large, critical applications (preferably on multiple platforms)
* Ability and willingness to hold on - call responsibilities to respond to system issues 24x7x365
* Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology and practices

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher level of education or equivalent work experience
* Previous experience working with a remote team of resources including offshore team members
* Willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues
