Marvel New Media is seeking a Software Engineering Fall intern. As the front-end software intern you will generate assets, build responsive web layouts and code functionality across Marvel's digital properties. Ideal candidates are creative, motivated, proficient in web development and able to balance multiple projects.

Internship Eligibility:

* Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
* Must possess unrestricted work authorization
* All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.

Program Dates: The internship will start in September - December with flexibility as needed based on academic calendars. Interns will work 40 hours per week and must be available Monday through Friday throughout the internship.

Housing & Transportation: This internship is located in New York, NY. All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.

Basic Qualifications

* Experience developing sites and applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Experience building React components, including demonstrated understanding of React Redux and State Hooks.
* Solid understanding of CSS, including modern features such as CSS grid, flexbox and transforms.
* Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.
* Abilities within JavaScript to traverse the DOM and manage user events.
* Familiarity with MVC frameworks, component libraries and UI patterns.
* Bonus points for candidates with skills in automated testing tools such as Mocha or Jasmine
* Personal drive, strong communication skills, and self-discipline round out the ideal candidate.
