Responsibilities

We're looking for a full-stack developer with experience of delivering tools using cloud technologies. The qualified candidate will become part of the Analytics Software Department and will design and develop cloud-native applications for data pipelines, data analytics, and data collection systems.

Key Functions

* Independently evaluates, selects, and applies engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Assignments typically have specified objectives. Contacts are primarily internal, with infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
* Works on complex computer science solutions, develop scalable and distributed software systems which requires research, awareness, and interactivity.
* Quickly learns new technical skills to tackle some of technology's greatest challenges

This position is available as a Software Engineer or Sr. Software Engineer

Qualifications

Qualifications for Software Engineer

Required

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
* 5 or more years of relevant work experience in software development
* Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C++, or Python
* Present project updates to management to ensure that project development remains aligned with management's vision
* Ability to adapt to changing organizational need
* This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

Preferred

* Master's degree, further education or experience in engineering, computer science or other technical related fields
* Active Secret security clearance
* Experience with relational and non-relational databases
* Experience in Web UI development with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and similar technologies.
* Knowledge of data analytics tools for data pipelines, storages, and presentations

Qualifications for Sr. Software Engineer

Required

* Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
* 8 or more years of relevant work experience in software development
* Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C++, or Python
* Experience in building cloud-based applications and services
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations
* Ability to adapt to changing organizational need
* This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred

* Master's degree or Ph.D. in engineering, computer science or other technical related fields
* Experience in leading software development teams
* Active Secret security clearance
* Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, mobile application development, distributed and parallel systems, and/or developing large software systems.
