Software Engineer (or Internship exceeding 6 months)

Job Description

We are looking for talented Software Engineers (or an intern for 6 months or longer) passionate about programming/machine learning and applying them to solve business challenges. This position is not a summer internship - it will exceed six months and has the potential to be converted to a full time Software Engineer. The interns will work alongside exceptionally smart people with background from top schools (such as Cornell, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Tsinghua, UC Berkeley, etc.) & top software/tech companies & successful startups (such as Apple, Google, Salesforce, ServiceNow, VMware, Zynga, DemandTec, ProfitLogic, etc.), and get to ship products together with full-time engineers.

Qualifications:

* Strong grasp of CS and programming fundamentals. Proficiency in Java/JavaSript/etc.
* Ability to learn/adapt quickly.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Nice to have - experience in Hadoop, NoSQL, data mining/machine learning, web scraping, text mining, and search technology.
