Job Description

Blend is looking for talented software engineers to join our diverse and fast-growing engineering team. As a software engineer, you'll work throughout the stack, from large-scale data processing to web UI. Specifically, you will be responsible for building new features and functionality enabling our company to deliver critical software to major mortgage lenders. Here's what you'll do:

* Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
* Build a distributed, high-throughput application
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product, design, infrastructure, and operations
* Tackle a wide variety of technical problems throughout the stack and contribute daily to all parts of our code base
* Learn new skills, technologies and concepts, taking personal initiative to execute on projects

You might work on:

* A mission-critical application layer, powering billions of dollars in loan originations per month
* Creating and fortify integrations with first- and third-party financial data providers to power a seamless, automated borrower experience
* Building backend services that maintain reliability, availability, and performance
* Developing APIs and event systems that our partners and banks would use to implement complex enterprise integration patterns

You may be fit for this role if you have:

* Prior industry experience as a software engineer (domain knowledge in enterprise software or home lending not required)
* Experience with JavaScript, React, Node.js, Go, and Python
* Consumer application development knowledge
* 4+ years of experience in application development
* Best practices in engineering, security, and design
