Job Description

The senior software engineer participates in full-life cycle development informatics projects, architecture design and implementation within the time-line of projects. The senior software engineer collaborates within the engineering and data science teams in designing, implementing, testing and deploying healthcare technology applications and platforms to progress the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care for our patients and population, and to support research and clinical investigations using health information technology, and data science.

 

Required background:

* Master's degree in computer science or software engineering
* At least 5 years of experience building complex software engineering applications using technologies like Java, J2EE, Spring, SQL and JS.
* Experience building applications using semantic technologies like RDF/SKOS/OWL 
* Web application development, object oriented design and programing
* Experienced and proficient in SOA architecture (SOAP, REST), AJAX, JSON, XML, HTML5
* Experienced and proficient in GUI frameworks for the web
* Spring or servlet experience
* Experience in working within an AGILE program or project management framework.
