We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Senior Associate) to join the Capital One Auto Finance (COAF) Consumer team within Financial Services ( #FStech )!

The Tech Stack:

Java / J2EE, Microservices, Amazon Web Services, Spring Boot, REST

The Role:

You'll be an individual contributor and bring your software expertise to a team who thrives on understanding and solving complex business logic "at the heart" of the auto loan application process. A strong back-end Java Engineer with an eye for design and a passion for the business of technology, you'll lead by example in the transition to a Microservices Architecture.

You'll be heavily involved in understanding requirements, design, architecture, business rules engine, and hands-on new development and feature enhancements. As an example, you'll be a key contributor in product enhancement. One of the ways we're working on enhancing the loan application engine is through mass scoring, which will allow customers to bring up thousands of vehicles in a matter of seconds through computational search integrated into one of Capital One's premier products - Auto Navigator!

You're not focused on UI; you're the one who make the application engine. You will constantly strive towards a faster, more efficient application through heavy business logic and massive data policy ingestion.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or military experience
* At least 3 years' experience in Java development
* At least 2 years' experience with REST
* At least 2 years' experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS)
* At least 1 year of experience in Spring
* At least 1 year of experience in cloud services

Preferred Qualifications:

* 5+ years' experience in Java J2EE
* 3+ years' experience in Spring Boot
* 2+ years' experience with Oracle
* Experience with NoSQL database (preferably Cassandra)
