Job Description

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Software Engineer in Test to join our Trading Platforms team.

The Trading Platforms division is responsible for developing, improving, and governing platforms through which trading teams access markets, and facilitating Risk Technology's control of market access and trading.

Responsibilities

* Contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of an automated testing framework to reduce time to market and increase the quality of our product
* Working closely with software developers, testers and stakeholders globally to refine technical requirements for the test framework
* Designing technical testing strategies and heuristics for heavily integrated applications
* Creating and maintaining specification documents for the automation framework

Qualifications

* A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
* At least 3 years of experience programming in C++
* Strong general programming and software design skills
* Familiarity with Python, including the ability to read and understand it
* Competence using Linux, and basic knowledge of system administration and environment management
* Good understanding of common, TCP/IP-based computer network protocols, an understanding of network protocols in general (e.g. the OSI model), and knowledge of how to troubleshoot them
* A background using version control systems (ideally including git)
* Experience with implementing CI/CD principles
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Experience in FPGA and building tests with trading systems a strong plus
