Accuity is seeking Software Engineer III to play a key role in developing Data, API and Web solutions. As a member of the Software Engineering Team, ideal candidate should be experienced in software development, testing, deployment and support of enterprise applications and in working with the latest tools and technologies available in market within the DevOps and Agile space. Selected individual will play a critical role, not only for developing solutions, but also for ensuring in-house technology platform remains modern and responsive to the ever-changing technology ecosystem.

Experience

* 3+ years' experience working as Software Engineer and developing Data, API and Web solutions using Java and other tools, technologies, methodologies, etc. as outlined below



Education

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

Technical Skills

* Hand-on experience coding and developing Java enterprise platform, including work with the following, required:
* J2EE, Spring, Hibernate


* Test-driven, SDLC, Agile development environment


* JUnit testing


* SOA and API concepts


* JavaScript Framework, such as JQuery,


* Relational databases


* CI and CD tools, such as Jenkins




* Familiarity and/or work with the following desired:
* Industry best development practices


* Amazon cloud-based services


* Linux operating systems


* RESTful Web Service


* NoSQL Database


* CI and CD tools, such as Puppet and Terraform





Additional Skills

* Demonstrated ability to work independently, and within, a team environment
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written
* Willingness to learn new technology concepts, tools, methodologies and the like

Key Responsibilities

* Code, develop, test, deploy, and support Java enterprise applications while ensuring code quality, reusability and extensibility and 80-90% of time will be spent coding, developing, testing


* Contribute to User Story writing and reviews to ensure software design tasks are accurately captured


* Research and recommend for implementing emerging techniques or technologies that might improve the quality and efficiency of our products
