What's the role?

The Hitch - HERE Talent Platform team is seeking a Software Engineer, based in Seattle, to help develop new features and platform capabilities including the use of predictive analytics and Machine Learning to improve the UX.

As an Engineer, you will work as part of a highly collaborative, multi-functional, agile product development team to develop Hitch from the ground up. Working in collaborative environment at HERE you will create alliances between partner teams and contribute to codebases across the organization while integrating with wider Enterprise systems using service-oriented architecture. You will also be successful in working with PMs to ensure high quality and user requirements and you will be working with colleagues to bring Hitch to other world-class companies who are looking to embrace the Hitch model of work for their teams.

Lead Software Engineer Responsibilities:

* You develop front end and back end web app architecture.
* You develop and extend the server architecture including inter-connectivity to other enterprise platforms
* You ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile phones and ensure responsiveness of applications.
* Working alongside graphic designers or front end developers for front end features.
* Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
* Designing and developing APIs.
* Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
* Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages

Who are you?

Degree in Computer Science preferred.
* 3+ years of experience
* Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as NodeJS, Angular JS, React and Amber.
* Proficiency with server side languages such as Python, Java, and PHP.
* Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB.
* Experience with AWS Deployments including Elastic Search, Kubernetes strongly preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience integrating with HRIS APIs is a plus.
