Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented, experienced Software Engineer to join our process and quality team. This person will develop tools and infrastructure, to deploy software for continuous integration and support an infrastructure for automated testing.

The ideal candidate must be passionate about process improvements and have the drive to increase overall customer satisfaction. You must be able to work both as a member of the team as well as independently. Since you'll be working closely among cross functional teams within the company in both life sciences (research) and diagnostics (IVD) projects. In addition, individual works independently and can work well in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:

* Designs, develops, implements, documents, and tests changes to an application subsystem. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements software applications that deliver high quality and meet user expectations. Supports software and integration testing activities. Initiates design reviews for new applications and adheres to engineering standards
* Administration and support of the continuous integration server.
* Collaborate in major efforts to resolve complex technical and Quality-related problems for sustaining engineering
* Anticipates long term support issues and plans for corrective actions. Performs root cause analysis to identify permanent resolutions to software or business process issues.
* Writing tools to ease day-to-day tasks for software development
* Monitoring and troubleshooting of automated tests and tools, analyzing failures and working with developers to resolve issues.
* Train and coach cross-functional peers on maintaining compliance to internal and external Quality requirements and regulations.
* Development and packaging automation and tools
* Evaluate quality data and prepare periodic reports.
* Interacting and communicating with other software developers.
* Providing up to date, timely and clear communication to all the stakeholders
* Driving projects and process improvements across the team

Knowledge and Experience:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and/or Mathematics and/or Statistical related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
* 4+ years of software engineering experience
* Familiarity with source code control tools, particularly Git and ClearCase
* Programming experience in C++, Ruby, Python, Windows batch, bash, Tcl, or similar languages
* Experience with RESTful interfaces
* Demonstrated success with control systems software design and implementation
* Demonstrated proficiency with requirements analysis and documentation
* Familiarity with Jenkins.is desired
* Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus
* Familiarity with Java/Groovy is a plus

Skills and Abilities:

* Very good at problem solving and logical thinking
* Detail oriented, clear communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
* Strong troubleshooting skills
