Job Description

A Software Engineer II job in Burbank, CA is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and verifying safety critical real-time embedded flight software in compliance with DO-178C. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline, and five years of experience in safety critical software development and verification.

Software Engineer II Job duties:

Develop and verify safety critical real-time embedded flight software in compliance with DO-178C

Review verification output across programs to ensure compliance with guidelines, procedures and customer standards

Develop software requirements from system requirements and develop software design and code

Develop requirements-based test procedures

Perform analysis of requirements, design and code to assure compliance to standards and guidelines

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline with demonstrated software knowledge

Minimum five (5) years of experience in safety critical software development and verification

Experience with embedded system programming and developing software per DO-178 guidelines with C language code.

Requirements management tools (such as DOORS), Model Based Development (Simulink or SCADE) a plus, Structural coverage analysis tool (such as LDRA, RTRT)

Microprocessor / Microcontroller and Low level driver development experience
