Overview

We are looking for a full stack software developer to join our team at Eddie Bauer. The successful candidate will be an accomplished technologist and have prior Ecommerce experience, as well as, a vision and passion for the continued acceleration of B2C ecommerce. Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities:

* Working on the front-end of the ecommerce applications, as well as, building AWS serverless technologies, API gateways, and Lambda functions in AWS
* Design and build micro services and integrations with partner technologies
* API design, development, and management
* Help define the architecture, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall customer experience
* Serve as a full-stack developer helping to bridge the gap between front end developers and back end engineers
* Develop plans in conjunction with partner teams (Product Management, Operations, Online Merchandising, Creative, Marketing, and Enterprise IT)
* Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, security, operations, and process improvement as a member of the ecommerce engineering team
* Problem solving (triage defects, recommend and implement a fix for critical issues)
* Help build an engineering culture that consistently delivers value to our customers

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

* Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of overall development experience in both front end and back end technologies
* 2+ years with Angular or React and knowledge of Node.js
* AWS stack including API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFormation, S3 and CI/CD pipeline
* Experience with Mongo DB atlas and GraphQL
* REST, Open API, and microservices architecture
* Understanding of ecommerce systems architecture with working knowledge of strategies that will lead to continued success and growth in online retail
* Experience working on content management systems is preferred
* Experience with best practices in software delivery including DevOps, Agile/Scrum methods, CI, and the tools that support these processes
* Strong knowledge of security standards, practices, and architecture
* Experience with functional, regression, performance and stress testing
* Experience with application monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Dynatrace, or Datadog

* While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
* The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
* Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
* Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
* Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
