Job Description

We, the engineers of the & Online Products Applications Group, are looking for a passionate software engineer to join our web applications team. Our team crafts the BlizzCon online experience, our game News, new and exciting content experiences plus plenty more, including this very Careers site. These experiences are delivered multi-platform, including our Blizzard web sites and inside of our Desktop and Mobile applications. Our applications are used by millions of gamers around the world, an epic destination where players and spectators alike can catch up on the latest news, current and upcoming events, and live streams.

Our ideal candidate enjoys teaming up with designers, program managers, and fellow engineers to build intuitive, efficient, maintainable and highly polished experiences. We have ambitious plans to evolve our applications and news sites, and everyone on the team can help shape the future of the tech, features, and design. Our web applications are built using Node.js, Java, and Javascript using React and/or Vue.js.

Whether you're playing one of our titles, chatting with friends, browsing our web content or just shopping online, B&OP ensures that our players are immersed in engaging, exciting, and secure experiences.

This position is available in our Irvine, California office location.


* Passion for delivering amazing features
* JavaScript and either Java or Node.js experience with a minimum of 3 years' professional experience
* Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and DOM
* Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
* Familiarity with HTTP and basic networking concepts
* Strong verbal and written communications skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience


* Experience creating and operating high scale web sites
* Familiarity with security standards
* Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, Spinnaker or Kubernetes
* Familiarity with Typescript, NGINX, or OAuth
* Experience with mobile-first responsive design
* Experience with public cloud providers and cloud architectural patterns
