Zipline is developing the most advanced fleet of autonomous vehicles in the world to serve its mission of providing life-saving medical products across the planet. To do this, we're building a small team of the best and brightest software engineers to come up with simple solutions to really hard problems.
We are looking for a full-stack developer excited to build products that will make a difference. Someone with a strong drive for making great products.
Some problems you might work on:
* Creating an easy and dependable system for doctors and nurses to order life-saving supplies from Zipline * Designing interfaces that talk to machines, like launchers and airplanes, focusing on safety and ease-of-training * Beginning to design a series of applications that track airplane components, scheduled maintenance, spares, and faults to help achieve higher levels of reliability in flight * Empowering our operations teams with amazing software tools to process orders, prepare aircraft, track inventory, and monitor flight status * Providing air-traffic controllers and medical partners around the world with visibility into our operations
To be successful you will have experience:
* Standing up full-stack web applications, from server provisioning through backend technology selection, front-end coding to production rollout * Excitement to work in an environment where you'll be learning quickly from your users to define a product * Data model design in relational databases - identifying relationships between objects and encoding that into a data model * Accounting for the security of applications exposed on the internet * Making use of extensive unit tests to produce rock-solid code that can be iterated on quickly * Working with other extraordinary engineers to make wise technical decisions for the company * 3 years of professional experience in a software engineering role
We'll be stoked if you have:
* Experience building native mobile and mobile web applications * Excellence in Python, SQL, Linux, and React * Experience with distributed system technologies like Cassandra DB and Kafka * Built systems that work in low-connectivity situations * Familiarity with languages beyond the web, like C, C++, Swift, and Bash * Human-Robot interaction design
