Job Description:

The Software Engineer will support the business in the areas of software design, development, testing and integration on IRAD projects and programs. We are currently developing a cutting-edge air traffic control system for Unmanned Aircraft Systems, which includes components for surveillance, detection and avoidance and command and control functionalities. We are seeking a motivated & innovative Software Engineer who will be a vital part of this team.

The Mission Networks Business Unit under the Aviation Systems Business Segment primarily supports the FAA by providing air traffic management systems, products and services that improve operations safety and efficiency. The business designs, implements, and operates large, complex networks supporting air traffic management and mission critical communications; develops voice communications systems; and develops air traffic movement and information systems.

Additional Responsible include:

* Develop Automated Software Tests from Requirements
* DevOps tool integration
* Create and enhance test tools using C++ in the Qt environment
* Customer support and third level technical support for fielded software systems as needed

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years' experience in full cycle software development
* Experience in C and C++
* Working experience in Linux/Unix environments
* Experience with Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
* Model-based design experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

* Experience with DevOps fundamentals
* Experience in development in the Qt environment
* DevOps tools: JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, Bitbucket (git), Jenkins
* Automation tools: Robot, Squish
* Architecture skills, knowledge of design patterns, and strong fundamentals
* Experience developing software in accordance with RTCA DO-278 is highly desired.
