About the Role

In the role of Software Engineer, you will provide leadership to the team, help to distill larger projects into stories and ensure timelines are being met and lead groomings. You will help to develop engineering solutions to implementing enterprise risk controls.

* 5+ years of experience writing production quality Python
* 2+ years of experience leading teams
* Strong focus on coaching junior staff members
* Leadership in constructive code reviews and code design feedback
* Solid understanding of SQL
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Comfortable with Git, making pull requests and code review
* Comfortable with unit testing

What You'll Do

* Experience with Oracle, Hive or Presto a plus
* Familiarity with pandas and JSON data structure a plus
* Familiarity with REST services and design
* Basic Java and Groovy
* Bash scripting

About You

* Experience with Scrum or other Agile processes
* Passionate about people development
* Experience in finance, lending, credit and statistics a plus
* Experience with Spark
