We're looking for a Distributed Systems Engineer to join Metamarkets, a subsidiary of Snap Inc! As a member of the Platform team, you will be tasked with solving interesting technical challenges, such as architecting and deploying infrastructure to handle our ever-increasing scale. Working from our San Francisco, CA headquarters, you'll collaborate with the Engineering team to develop and implement next generation infrastructure to further improve performance in all ways possible.

What you'll do:

We are a small team spread across multiple time zones, so every engineer's impact counts. We expect you to not only work on the existing software, but generate, advocate for, and deliver results of new ideas. We are looking for an engineer who is a self starter and can be successful working with distributed teams.

Minimum Qualifications

* 3+ years of professional experience
* 1+ years of experience in Java or Scala
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

* 5+ years of professional experience
* 3+ years of experience using Java or ScalaJVM experience
* 3+ years of experience in big data technologies - Kafka/Spark/Hadoop (Distributed Systems)
