Job Description

A Software Engineer job in Quincy, IL is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of controls systems for industrial compressor and blower products. Software Engineer Job duties:

* Design, develop, test, and deploy software for new control system developments.
* Update and modify software to support new product development projects.
* Work with stakeholders to collect requirements and ensure that software is developed.
* Maintain legacy software systems across multiple architectures including microcontroller, microprocessor, and PLC based hardware.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Computer Science, or related field.
* Five to Ten years of experience developing software.
* Extensive experience in C programming is required. C++, scripting languages, LabView, Matlab, and web development experience.
* Experience development software for embedded RTOS, embedded Linux, as well as PLC/HMI and PC environments.
* Experience with PID controls.
* Software development with Agile methodologies.
