Team Overview:The Rapid Application Development team designs and develops new heath system focused applications by creating proof of concepts, vetting with the customers and then developing enterprise tier versions for deployment to production.Position Summary:The primary purpose of this role is to collect/refine requirements, design, code, test and document changes to existing as well as new applications.

Responsibilities

* Full stack coding, testing, documentation in the areas of Development and Maintenance using development best practices
* Analysis, debugging and fixing of issues found in any environment in accordance with service level agreements
* Based on the design approach, agree on high level estimates to validate the resource allocated to a particular project.
* Adherence to the full software development lifecycle enabling continuous integration / continuous delivery processes across all environments
* Ownership of assigned software and non-software deliverables.
* Liaison with Business Analysts and/or internal / external customers to ensure that requirements are understood.
* Production of accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications to the required level of detail in the timescales as defined by the PM.
* Production, preparation and execution of unit test plans.
* Production of efficient and fully documented code.
* Achievement of agreed productivity targets in order to ensure use-cases are delivered within budget, to schedule and to defined quality standards.
* Completion of all necessary software and non-software components in the timescales as defined by the Project Manager.

Quality and adherence to Standards

* Enthusiastic about creating quality software with a can-do attitude where no hurdle is insurmountable
* Tech Specs, Code and/or Unit Test Plans produced are all in line with the Traceability Matrix/Functional Specification.
* Ensure all work is reviewed to ensure adherence to the relevant development standards.
* Peer review and sign-off of others work.
* Timely and accurate reporting of project status as required by Line or Project Manager.
* Production and revision of accurate detailed estimates.
* Escalate product issues and suggest product improvements.
* Escalate all issues in a timely fashion.
* Mentor junior team members in best practices and standards

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

* BA or BS degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience

Experience:

* 0-2 years Industry experience preferred
* 2-5 years experience as Software Engineer
* Minimum of 2 years .net full stack development experience (java a plus)
* Knowledge and experience using MS SQL Server
* Knowledge and implementation of development best practices
* Knowledge and experience creating and calling REST and SOAP interfaces
* Proven ability to adapt to learning and implementing new frameworks, languages, technologies.
* Extensive experience in the following: .NET, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Shell scripting or Powershell, multi-threading, message queuing, general design patterns
* Experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes) preferred.

Travel Requirements:

* May require local travel
* May require other travel for business needs

Working Arrangements:

* May require after hours on call support
* Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
