Want to solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems? Facebook is looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Lead with audio pipeline experience. The candidate must have experience with audio codecs, jitter buffer, audio signal processing, writing and debugging C/C++ code. This engineer will be personally responsible for the audio stack in a real-time communication engine, which includes codecs, signal processing, media capture, data collection. Must be skilled using data collected in the field at global scale (i.e. many regions, networks, devices, and people) to identify areas of improvement, or be passionate about learning this skill on the job.
* Identify areas of improvement for Audio quality on mobile devices.
Design and conduct in field experiments with audio quality changes.
Design and code reviews.
Guide team to success.
* BS/MS in Computer science or Electrical engineering.
Experience with Audio stack like codecs, audio capture/render, jitter buffer and signal processing.
C/C++ multi threaded programming experience.
* Data analysis background.
