Job Description

Job Summary

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Draft and design state-of-the-art solutions
* Develop web based and desktop applications
* Assemble reusable class libraries and web services
* Maintain and enhance existing code
* Unit test developed code
* Assist in code deployment as required
* Establish level of effort for development activities
* Identify development tasks
* Track progress against team deliverables
* Assess new technologies relevant to company business
* Follow all standards, processes and policies
* Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers and QA's
* Other projects and duties as assigned

Competencies

* Proficiency with object oriented design and development
* Experience in Agile Scrum SDLC processes
* Knowledge of service oriented architecture
* Ability to switch between priorities quickly without affecting quality or performance
* Superior client service skills

Education and/or Experience (includes certificate & licenses)

* Experience with MVC, MVVM, CCS3 and HTML5 is a plus.
* Development experience utilizing PL-SQL. T-SQL experience is a plus.
* Experience with SSRS Reports is a plus
* Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
