Job Description

Bird's eye view of your role - The Envestnet|Yodlee Data Operations team ensures on time delivery and quality of analytics data, which is fueling the growth of Envestnet's financial products and services. This is an opportunity to be part of the team which delivers rock solid and stable solutions to enable new Analytics and Machine learning capabilities. The team strives to improve system processing by introducing new monitoring, Alerting and automation features while continually optimizing the environment. The goal is to identify data processing anomalies early in the process and to quickly react to detected issues. Additionally, the Data Operations team is heavily involved in R&D activities, and plays a key role in new product delivery in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams.

We are looking for highly motivated, skilled and results oriented engineer to work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, launch and support critical data projects. You will get to participate in designing the architecture, features and automation for new and existing analytical products. You will drive the quality and SLA of product delivery. You will leverage technology stack like python, Perl, Linux/Shell, Sqoop, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Spark, Elastic Search, AWS, Redshift, Splunk, Tableau, Oracle, and SQL/MYSQL on the job. You are highly technical, can quickly grasp new technologies, possess strong development skills, and have an eye for identifying/root causing defects efficiently and swiftly. You will be accountable to maintain the production systems to ensure minimal customer defects. You are very versatile in processing big data sets in Terabytes and will use your technical skills to in writing complex automation and integration components. You will be flexible to provide team support during weekends as needed.

You will have-

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering.

2 - 4 years of overall technology industry experience

2+ years of Big Data Analytics/Data Warehouse development/operations experience

Familiarity with cloud computing

Nice to have-

Experience with running large scale Analytical system on distributed computing or cloud platform.

Experience building and operating batch or streaming data pipelines.

You will definitely possess these technical skills-

Proficiency with and developing on Linux

Extensive Perl/ PHP and Python programming

Experience with Shell scripting

Experience with AWS EC2, S3, and other AWS components and services

Operational familiarity with Elastic Search, EMR, Spark, Web Services

Experience with Hadoop eco-system (Hive, Impala, Oozie, Sqoop)

Experience in building and maintaining Real Time Stream Analytical Solutions

Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases

Working Knowledge of Redshift and Tableau

Oracle Database development expertise including creating complex SQL and PLSQL queries

Exposure to Splunk, Service Now and other productivity tools

Performance objectives -

* Deliver daily data analytics processing completely and on time
* Design and Develop monitors, tools using Linux, Perl, PHP, Python, MYSQL, Oracle
* Design and Develop deployment/automation techniques on AWS Services
* Learn/Enhance skills around Hadoop, AWS Services based on project needs
* Understand/Review existing big data processing components and support them efficiently
* Work with Cross Functional Team, to identify root cause and resolve data issues
* Execute SQL/PLSQL, to fix any data defects
* Flexible to support data issues and product delivery, during the weekends.

How will your lofty goals be translated into specific actions / short term goals -

* Within first 30 days, you will learn the Envestnet|Yodlee data analytics system and maintain the day to day processing pipeline and team activities.
* By the end of the first quarter, you will have participated in the full release of a new analytics capability from design to production.
