As a software developer on our team, you will use the modern tools and technologies available to deliver state-of-the-art software. You will work in end-to-end development teams to design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software to help hundreds of thousands of IBMers to be more effective.

Candidate must have the ability to work in the US without current/future need for IBM sponsorship

Responsibilities

* Actively contribute to architectural designs of our microservices
* Iteratively deliver new features by collaborating regularly with product owner, designers, project manager, and other software engineers
* Enforce high standards for development and testing
* Provide effective and constructive feedback by reviewing others' work

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* 3+ years of experience in writing production code for backend or middle tire services using Java, Ruby, Python, or similar languages
* Computer Science or related degree
* Delivered microservices solutions
* Understanding of Javascript fundamentals

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

* Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g., partnering, conflict management, mentoring), with strong verbal and written communication skills
* Familiar with container-based deployment
* Experience with modern JS frameworks such as Ember, Angular or React. Node.js web applications, REST services, and Java/J2EE.
* Familiar with messaging queue technologies
