About the role:

With a software focus, the individual in this position is responsible for developing solutions ensuring safe and reliable system performance. This requires experience in software design and development and understanding of overall system architecture and requirements. A solid knowledge in mathematics and rigid body mechanics is considered advantageous for this role. Theoretical knowledge and experience in applications with sensor fusion and Kalman filter are highly desirable as well as experience in developing MATLAB simulations. The tasks of the software engineer are to develop and maintain new or existing software products by formalizing SW requirements into design and implementation. The responsibilities include reviewing and testing of code, hence knowledge in software test methodologies and tools is desirable. In addition, the establishment of safety-related documentation is part of the work scope, such as developing and maintaining software design documentation. Additional tasks might be allocated according to the individual skills of the Software Engineer and current company requirements.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

* Identification of stakeholder requirements
* Software design and implementation, including simulations
* Software verification
* Documentation and Configuration Management according to BT processes and tools
* Choice of design and functionality to meet customer and safety requirements
* Choice of functional decomposition and algorithms
* Definition of interfaces towards internal and external entities.
* Evaluation of non-conformities

YOUR PROFILE

* Bachelor's degree or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
* Minimum 5 years' experience within software engineering preferably in embedded systems
* Proficiency in C/C programming language
* Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows, VX Works)
* Experience with MS Office tools
* Experience with version management tools
* Fluent in English and preferably in Swedish
