Altamira is looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Architect with an active TS/SCI security clearance and favorable Polygraph, to support a government customer in McLean, Virginia.

The selected candidate will provide software engineering support on our prime contract to a web-based application consisting of a suite of integrated tools that provides support personnel with key data points by reaching out to a variety of enterprise data sources and consolidating the data into a unified view. The candidate will be responsible for both maintaining the current set of tools and developing new applications, utilizing enterprise web-services, and building new reports. The successful candidate will be a member of a dynamic team and must have the ability to work in a mixed technical environment and maintain productivity when switching between multiple tools, applications, and technologies. The candidate must work well in a team environment and be familiar with Agile development.

Required Skills and Experience:

* Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with favorable polygraph
* 5+ years of software development experience
* Experience with JAVA
* Experience with front-end scripting languages and libraries - JavaScript, Sencha Ext JS
* Experience with MySQL
* Experience with enterprise searching tools such as Solr
* Experience with Ruby/Rails is a plus
* Experience with agile software development practices (unit testing, continuous integration, static analysis)
* Familiarity with XML, Linux and Oracle
