The Candidate Experience Technology (CXT) team, part of the Recruiting Technology (RT) organization, is looking for an SDM to build and lead the new Talent Movement Technology (TMT) team. The TMT team's goal is to provide technical solutions that support and foster talent movement across Amazon, aligning people's strengths to Amazon business-critical work. Talent Movement enables managers to hire internal candidates for their teams while helping employees navigate to new internal roles. The goal for the TMT team's service is to recommend internal opportunities which align to individual job seeker's career progression at Amazon, while getting the right talent where Amazon needs it the most.
This new team will begin by developing an initial matching service that supports experimenting with our ability to identify and surface talent for specific Amazon business needs. We will measure the effectiveness of a central mechanism and refine the inputs required from managers and employees to develop a matching service. As the team determines the criteria needed from hiring managers and the attributes required in order to identify talent across organizations, the TMT team will be working closely with the rest of Recruiting Technology to leverage and learn from priorities across Hire and Amazon.jobs/JobFinder, improving the internal candidate experience end to end.
As the SDM for the TMT team, you will have technical ownership of the development of this new critical part of our hiring systems, by building and leading a talented team of engineers. You will hire and lead an initial team of four individuals to build this new service, create your own team mandate and long-term plan, and execute on your team mandate. This role is for you if you excel at working through ambiguity to define a clear path forward, enjoy partnering closely with business stakeholders, can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and are excited about building something completely new.
