Job Description

The AWS Identity team has been strategic to AWS from the very beginning. We are pioneers in areas such as identity, access management, security and providing massively scaled, distributed platform capabilities to all of AWS services. AWS identity team enables our customers to control and secure the most sensitive data on the internet. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need brilliant engineering leaders to work with us on this new initiative!

We are building a new cloud platform that dramatically simplifies how enterprise customers bring their identities onto AWS from anywhere. We are looking for a talented engineering leader who will be responsible for owning and driving AuthN for this space focusing on enabling cloud identity management and federation. This position represents an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help shape the technology, product and the business. A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise, strong business acumen and judgment, ability to define platforms that scale, ability to hire and lead a team and desire to have an industry wide impact.

This leader will lead a team that will build a AuthN platform services that enables multiple services to deliver a authenticate customer (human) identity across AWS. This is a S-team goal. You will be driving collaborative development with 5+ internal IDAS teams and have all AWS business application service teams as customers. You will be working on an important Tier-0 services that underpin all of AWS Auth infrastructure. You will interact with senior AWS IDAS leadership and PEs and DEs in the identity space. You will manage a global service footprint that has very strict latency and availability requirements.

You will work with and grow a talented engineering team.
