What does the team do?
The CPX team is part of the Prime Video Catalog organization. Our vision is to enable the largest, richest catalog of video content in the world, available to customers as early as possible, by ensuring that we always publish our playable assets on time and with the highest quality. CPX team is responsible for the playable asset domain which includes the life cycle management of playable assets and associated metadata.
The CPX team owns the publishing, storage, validation, indexing and playability correctness of assets such as Videos (ex - Movies, Episodes, Trailers, VAM, Highlights, Replays, Ads), Subtitles, Audio, Live Event content (ex- ATP Tournaments, Thursday night football, NBA) and Live Linear Station content (ex- HBO, Starz). We orchestrate the asset pipeline from source ingestion to target generation and integrate the target assets into the catalog as parts. We apply business rules to perform various data completeness checks and regression checks on the target assets. We provide visibility into the asset pipeline to ensure playability. We provide failure retry workflows to ensure pipeline reliability.
What do we expect you to do?
You will be using your skills to design and build the next generation of our video supply chain. You will be solving complex scalability, availability and performance problems by building distributed, large-scale services using the latest AWS technologies like Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Redshift and S3. As we get more advanced, you will be using machine learning and AI to do sophisticated analysis of customer engagement data to automatically surface and fix quality issues.

Successful candidates for this position will have a background in Java, C#, or C++ or a similar development language.
